What it does
Set the generator beside a CRT and choose a Rasterdeck-drawn grid, color bars, grayscale, crosshatch or flat field. Its purpose is quick visual setup and fault isolation when a game console or playback deck is unavailable. It is a service aid, not a calibrated laboratory reference. Check the selected revision for supported timing and output levels. Compatibility depends on the display input.
