What it does
Placed after a phono stage, the Selectable Subsonic Filter uses measured fixed corner and slope choices to reduce very-low-frequency energy. A relay bypass allows comparison with the same signal path without filtering. Check the selected revision for its filter settings and measured response. It is not a phono preamp or tone control, and it cannot repair damaged records. Its usefulness depends on the source of the low-frequency noise.
Required but not included
- phono stage with line-level output, line-level amplifier/input and RCA cables.
Included
- Stereo line-level subsonic filter, bypass control, and approved low-voltage supply.
What it does not do
- Connect after a phono stage at line level. It is not a phono preamp or record repair; not every system benefits.
