What it does
The Tape Monitor and Recording Buffer lets a line-level source feed a recorder while its return is selected for monitoring. The front panel shows the signal route clearly so a user can distinguish source, record feed and playback return. Relay routing and buffering prevent loading and invalid feedback paths. It provides tape monitoring and recording connections; it does not replace a preamplifier or digitize audio.
Required but not included
- compatible line-level source/controller, cassette or reel-to-reel deck with appropriate line connections, monitoring amplifier and interconnects.
Included
- Tape monitor and recording buffer with the ordered route labels and approved supply.
What it does not do
- A focused line-level tape workflow component, not a general preamplifier or digitizer.
