Weigh the equipment in its operating configuration
Enter the complete operating weight of the equipment that will sit on the platform, including its platter, tonearm, dust cover, external motor when it shares the platform, every record weight or clamp that may be used, and any other item that will remain on the platform. Use the manufacturer’s specification or weigh the complete setup; do not enter shipping weight. Rasterdeck requires this value to select and calibrate the spring set supporting your equipment.
The platform also contributes load
The finished platform mass is added to the declared equipment weight. Foot position and unequal loading from the motor, platter or transformer affect individual spring selection. Maximum load alone does not define a safe spring profile.
Dimensions and placement
Record equipment width and depth, support-foot positions, cable projection, ventilation and any outboard items sharing the top. Confirm fit for the selected platform size and equipment footprint. Custom sizes require a template confirmation before cutting.
- Equipment width and depth, including projecting controls or covers.
- The location of every support foot and any outboard motor sharing the platform.
- Rear and side cable clearance, ventilation and room to operate the equipment.
- Maximum operating weight with every platter, clamp, cover and accessory that may be supported.
Only released matched sets
A valid configuration must fit a released platform and spring-foot range. Confirm the supported load range for the selected platform and spring-foot configuration. Unsupported loads require a custom-build review.
When equipment changes
Added record weights, changed equipment or altered foot layout may need replacement springs or recalibration. The service supplies a serialized position-marked complete set tied to the original platform record; old configuration records remain retained.
