Choose the hardwood species for your build. Natural grain and color vary; screen settings also affect perceived color. Our Philippine mahogany is the light-red wood sold under that trade name.

See the wood and finish sample kit — samples also serve as a coordinated coaster set.

Select a transparent wood finish, satin black, Piano black, or Piano red. Piano black and Piano red are opaque painted finishes and add approximately three weeks; we make every effort to ship earlier. Other finishes can be discussed through the contact form.

01 / PURPOSE

What it does

A record stabilizer with a precision metal core, finished hardwood crown and protective underside. Each unit has its mass recorded against its serial number. It is intended for compatible non-suspended turntables; the turntable must support the additional spindle and bearing load.

Required but not included

  • Turntable whose manufacturer permits the final additional spindle and bearing load
  • Confirmation of compatibility with the particular deck and suspension

Included

  • Sourced precision metal core, hardwood crown, protective underside and serialized measured mass
  • Model-specific load guidance

What it does not do

  • Final mass, diameter, spindle-hole depth, runout and underside material are to be confirmed for the selected unit.
  • Not compatible with every turntable. Do not recommend for a suspended subchassis or bearing without confirmation.
  • No guaranteed sonic improvement; added weight must be included when calibrating an equipment platform.

A record stabilizer with a precision metal core, finished hardwood crown and protective underside. Each unit has its mass recorded against its serial number. It is intended for compatible non-suspended turntables; the turntable must support the additional spindle and bearing load.

Compatibility comes before added weight

Check the turntable manufacturer's allowable spindle and bearing load before adding a stabilizer. The selected unit's mass and fit must suit the deck; suspended designs require specific review.
